President Barack Obama

I am too overcome with emotion to write much. It is now a little after 11 and MSNBC just declared that Barack Obama will be the 44th President of the United States!

America did it! America actually did it!

I have tears in my eyes as I write this. I can’t believe it!

I feel something I haven’t felt in eight years – Hope. Barack Obama will not be the President of the blue states. He will be the President of the United States. Maybe the division that we have felt for so long can begin to subside?

The voters have helped restore my faith in this country.
